Welcome to Bol, the only little town on the south side of the island Brač, lying under the “Vidova Gora” (778m), the highest peak of the Adriatic islands.
Although it is first mentioned in 1184. in historical documents, Bol originates from the Roman times. In Bol one can also find Gothic and Romanesque constructions, like Dominican convent, founded in 1475.
Bol is also proud of its wine cooperative, founded in 1903., the first of the kind in Dalmatia. What distinguishes Bol from other beauties of the island is probably the most beautiful beach in Croatia – Zlatni Rat (Golden Cape), a 400 m long peble tongue whose point moves in the wind direction.
But besides many beaches, guests who visit Bol can enjoy interesting walks, bicycle rides (there is a new map of the cycle paths), tennis, beach volleyball... For those who like windsurfing, Bol is among the best destinations in Mediterranean.
